Job Overview: Software Development Engineer I

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Industry Experience: 1-5 years of relevant industry experience.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in designing and implementing multi-tenanted distributed systems, experience with TDD, BDD, and hands-on experience with unit testing and build automation.
• Programming Languages: Experience programming in one or more languages such as Java, GoLang, and Scala.
• Problem-Solving: Demonstrated success in solving application architecture, design, coding, functionality, usability, scaling, and optimization challenges.
• Tools: Experience using Git, Jira, Confluence, observability tools, and distributed tracing.
• Cloud Technologies: Experience working with cloud technologies such as AWS or Azure.

Preferred Skills

• Object-Oriented Programming: Strong understanding and proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming, data structures, and design patterns.
• Java Skills: Strong Java Object-Oriented programming skills.
• Software Development Processes: Knowledge of software development processes and agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
• Debugging and Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Database Design: Good understanding of database design principles.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, fluent in English, with the ability to articulate effectively in all situations.
