About the Role

We are seeking a skilled QA Android Engineer to join our dynamic team in Manesar, Haryana. In this role, you will be responsible for the development, testing, and quality assurance of Android applications for Hybrid STB (Set-Top Box) platforms. You will work on both one-way and return path applications, ensuring seamless functionality and exceptional user experiences.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the development of innovative solutions in the DTH (Direct-to-Home) and Android TV domains.

Key Responsibilities

Development & Testing:

• Develop and test Android Hybrid STB applications for one-way and return path functionalities.
• Conduct QC testing and UAT (User Acceptance Testing) for Android applications, STB, and EPG (Electronic Program Guide) in collaboration with partners and internal teams.
• Test Android TV applications and Set-Top Box (STB) systems to ensure optimal performance.

Test Automation:

• Create and maintain test scripts for automation on Android and Linux platforms.
• Utilize Android tools like ADB (Android Debug Bridge) and Systrace for debugging and performance analysis.

Collaboration & Integration:

1. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to set up testing environments and ensure smooth deployment.
2. Define KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and test cases for Android application testing.

Skills and Qualifications

1. Strong understanding of Android application development and testing.
2. Experience with Android tools such as ADB, Systrace, and other debugging tools.
3. Knowledge of test automation frameworks and scripting for Android and Linux platforms.
4. Familiarity with DTH systems, STB functionalities, and EPG testing.
5. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and partners.
6. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills:

1. Experience with Android TV application testing.
2. Knowledge of Linux-based systems and their integration with Android platforms.
3. Understanding of return path applications and their testing methodologies.
