Job Description

As a Software QA Engineer at Altair, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our cutting-edge software products. Your responsibilities will include:

• Collaborating closely with the Program Management team to devise comprehensive Validation and Testing Strategies for our product suite.
• Developing and reviewing detailed and well-structured test cases to ensure thorough testing coverage.
• Executing test suites, analyzing test results, and presenting test reports with valuable insights.
• Identifying and reporting bugs with clear steps for reproduction and potential root causes.
• Taking ownership of the automation framework and designing web UI and web service API test automation scripts.
• Collaborating effectively across various teams, including QA, Development, DevOps, Product Management, and Documentation.
• Contributing to the integration of highly automated product certification testing into our CI/CD processes.
• Understanding customer use cases and devising QA approaches to enhance product confidence.
• Estimating, prioritizing, planning, and coordinating testing activities.

Requirements 

To be eligible for this role, you should meet the following criteria:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 0 to 3 years of experience in software QA testing.
• A strong understanding of QA software testing principles.
• Proficiency in at least one coding language, such as C#, Java, or Python.
• Familiarity with automation frameworks like Selenium, Katalon, and BDD.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• A quick learner, self-motivated, and a dedicated team player.
