Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in computer science or a related engineering field
• Strong interest and experience in open source software development
• Proficient in Linux, C, C++, Python, Ruby, and Ruby on Rails
• Expertise in Bash and Python scripting
• Solid C/C++ skills
• Experience with Git (cherry-picking, merging, rebasing, etc.)
• Effective collaboration and communication skills with a global team
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Active participation in open source software projects (a significant advantage)
• Creative, motivated, and capable of working independently and collaboratively

Roles & Responsibilities:

As a key member of our team, you will:

• Contribute to Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) updates, ensuring stability and reliability
• Backport critical security and bug fixes into stable release streams, actively tracking upstream patches
• Configure and backport tests, set up test environments, and verify fixes
• Assist in the development and integration of the test environment and framework
• Troubleshoot potential issues, collaborating with the engineering team for resolutions
• Engage with various teams, including product engineering, quality engineering, program management, and release engineering, for timely updates with high quality
• Participate in product engineering team meetings to contribute insights and expertise
