Key Responsibilities

As a Data Entry Specialist, your primary role will be to manage and input data related to mortgage loans. You will work with a variety of loan documents, ensuring that all necessary information is accurately entered into our client’s Loan Origination Platform. Your daily tasks will include:

  1. Data Entry: Accurately input data from loan documents into the client’s system, focusing on 100-150 fields per document. This involves pulling up various documents from the client’s imaging system and ensuring all required information is correctly entered.

  2. Document Indexing: Classify and organize loan documents per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Proper indexing ensures easy retrieval and review of documents, streamlining the loan processing workflow.

  3. Information Verification: Review all loan documents to ensure the data in the client’s system matches the original documents. Identify and resolve any discrepancies that may arise, maintaining data integrity.

  4. Compliance Testing: Utilize tools like ComplianceEase to assess the regulatory compliance of loans. This test determines whether the loans meet the requirements of entities such as Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA, FHLB, and other secondary market investors. If a loan fails the compliance test, you will need to add a suspense condition.

  6. Issue Resolution: Identify missing or incomplete documents and take necessary actions to resolve these issues. You will need to communicate effectively with relevant stakeholders to obtain the required information.
