Responsibilities:

As a seasoned software engineer, you will:

• Collaborate with a lead to deliver medium to large features, including participating in the full software development lifecycle.
• Create reliable, innovative storage and data management products that drive NetApp’s cloud, hybrid-cloud, and on-premise solutions.
• Design, implement, and test software primarily in Python, with a focus on simplicity, reliability, and manageability.
• Engage in product design, development, verification, troubleshooting, and delivery of a system or major subsystems, including authoring project specifications.
• Write unit and automated integration tests to ensure product quality and performance.

Job Requirements:

To thrive in this role, you should have:

• Proven software development experience, including analysis, design, implementation, and testing.
• Strong proficiency in Python, with bonus points for experience in C++.
• Familiarity with REST API, cloud environments, and virtualization technologies.
• Experience with front-end frameworks like AngularJS or ReactJS, and full-stack development experience is a plus.
• A solid understanding of data storage virtualization and knowledge of hypervisors such as VMware ESX and Linux KVM.
• Experience with Unix-based operating systems like Linux or FreeBSD and their development environments.
• A strong grasp of computer architecture, data structures, and programming practices.
• A systematic approach to problem-solving and the ability to think creatively.
• Desired Skills and Qualifications:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment to achieve aggressive goals and maintain high-quality standards.
• Self-motivation and the ability to work under limited supervision.
• A passion for continuous learning and staying updated on the latest industry trends.

Education and Experience:

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field.
• 0-3 years of software development experience.
