Job Description

AWS India is looking for a Cloud Support Associate to provide technical support for AWS customers. The role involves troubleshooting cloud infrastructure services like S3, EC2, AMI, CloudFront, and SimpleDB, helping businesses of all sizes scale their cloud applications efficiently.

AWS Support Engineers are responsible for addressing customer issues through phone, email, and live chat, using advanced troubleshooting techniques to resolve problems. The role also includes mentoring new hires, process improvements, writing automation scripts, and participating in global AWS technical initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for AWS services through phone, email, and live chat.
• Troubleshoot and resolve customer issues using advanced debugging techniques.
• Work on critical high-complexity problems spanning multiple AWS services.
• Collaborate with Amazon teams in India to reproduce and resolve customer issues.
• Develop and present training sessions for internal teams and new hires.
• Write scripts/tools to automate support tasks and improve efficiency.
• Write tutorials, how-to guides, and technical articles for AWS customers.
• Improve support processes and enhance customer experience (CX).
• Communicate with customers during critical events and incidents.
• Participate in global AWS events, summits, and knowledge-sharing sessions.

Required Qualifications (Basic Requirements)

• 0-1 years of experience in Systems Administration, Database Design/Optimization, Big Data Analysis, Networking, or DevOps.
• Programming/Scripting experience in Java, Perl, Ruby, C#, PHP, or similar.
• Experience with troubleshooting/support tasks.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic understanding of Operating Systems (Linux/Unix - Ubuntu, CentOS, RedHat, Solaris).
• Basic Networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS).
• Basic knowledge of Databases.
• Strong customer focus and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Exposure to Cloud Computing (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.).
• Self-starter with a strong interest in technology.
• Willingness to work in India Night Shift hours.
