Job Description

Associate Software Engineer

We are seeking an Associate Software Engineer with expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS, and HTML to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will apply software engineering principles in designing, developing, maintaining, testing, and evaluating software and computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Gain familiarity with Software Engineering concepts, practices, and methodologies.
• Perform standard Software Engineering duties under guidance, including:
  • Writing code following standard protocols and guidelines.
  • Assisting in writing unit tests to ensure coverage for common code paths.
  • Learning and applying industry and company standards, policies, and guidelines.
  • Preparing documentation for software changes and implementations.
• Assist in implementing, customizing, and integrating complex tasks under the supervision of an experienced Software Engineer.
• Adapt to working in a small team environment.
• Accept and learn from evaluations and feedback from senior engineers.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of hands-on experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS, and HTML.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or a related field OR a Master's degree in a relevant field.
• Experience with Visual Studio (C#), C++, and scripting languages like PowerShell or VBScript is a plus.
• Understanding of the NDC message protocol and EMV technology is advantageous.
• Experience integrating digital experiences with physical touchpoints (e.g., ATM, POS, Self-Service Kiosks, NFC, QR Codes) is a plus.
• Prior experience in the financial services industry and retail banking processes is preferred.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in small teams while collaborating across departments.
