Role Summary

The Software Engineer I – GenAI role involves developing and optimizing Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) models and integrating them into systems. Success in this role requires strong expertise in AI/ML, cloud technologies, and ethical AI applications, alongside effective collaboration and communication.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop scalable, reliable, and ethical generative AI model-based solutions.
• Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to integrate AI solutions into cloud and on-premises systems.
• Work with LLM (Large Language Models) and VLM (Vision-Language Models) pipelines using AWS and Azure technologies.
• Stay updated on advancements in AI and machine learning technologies.
• Optimize RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) pipelines for efficiency and accuracy.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for AI systems and architectures.
• Define best practices for building and deploying AI/GenAI applications.
• Ensure compliance with ethical AI standards and data privacy regulations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address business challenges with AI/GenAI solutions.
• Lead technology forums to align vertical engineering teams on AI/GenAI innovations.
• Mentor developers working on AI/GenAI projects.
• Partner with solution architects to integrate AI/GenAI into existing systems.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Knowledge or experience with GenAI solutions.
• Proficiency in PyTorch (preferred).

Technical Skills

• Experience with cloud platforms and services like AWS (preferred), Azure, PCF, or GCP.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and tools like:
  • Spring Boot, Maven, Bitbucket, GitHub, Jenkins.
  • Front-end tools: React, Bootstrap CSS, Node.js, NPM.
  • Testing frameworks: Junit, Mockito.
  • Monitoring/logging: Splunk.
  • Databases: Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL.

Soft Skills

• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Work Timings

• Core Work Hours: 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM IST (06:00 AM to 11:30 AM ET).
