We’re looking for a talented Frontend Software Engineer to join our Growth and Experiences team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in enhancing the Confluent Cloud UI, particularly in the Billing section, and building tools that empower admins to maximize productivity and success.

As a Frontend Software Engineer, you’ll leverage your expertise in computer science, distributed data streams, client-side development, and modern web technologies to create scalable, intuitive, and visually appealing web applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop distributed data streams and intuitive data flows for client-side web applications.
• Build new visualizations and interfaces that scale seamlessly with Confluent Cloud.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to ensure optimal performance and user experience.
• Work closely with designers to implement UI components and interactions based on wireframes.
• Partner with product managers to deliver a seamless and engaging user experience.

Requirements:

• 6 months to 1 year of professional experience in frontend development.
• Availability to join by March 2025.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience building data-intensive client-side web applications.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript (including typing), HTML5, and CSS.
• Hands-on experience with React/Flux (or similar frameworks) and modern JavaScript tooling like Webpack.
• Solid understanding of algorithms and application design principles.
